Back in 2012 Far Cry 3 placed a few of one of the most effective graphics cards on the marketplace with their rates, with some GPUs battling to preserve 60 FPS at greater setups. How after that could Ubisoft anticipate players to appreciate a smooth experience with an Intel Core i3 530 as well as 1GB HD 5770, both of which were suggested?
Well today we’re having a look back at the video game, in addition to the currently extremely low-cost equipment that must have supplied a good experience, to see just how well it actually does. I’ll likewise be placing this ₤50 ($60) maker to the examination with a few other AAA titles.
Thanks for seeing:-RRB-.

Impressive results from such a cheap machine!
I got it to run on my 640!
I used to play this on Pentium 4 and 9600GT back in the days, at the time it got released.
For $50 it’s actually really really good, easiest way to get work done that’s for sure
FC3,DR2 and GTA5. I am down. For a throwaway system to keep for parties when kids come around and you don't want them to touch your beautiful rig lol.
did i ever tell you the definition of insanity
will that run Far-Cry 3? on low settings?
here's my gaming rig:
i3- 2120
MSI GeForce GT 710
8 gigs of ram
2 terabytes of memory
Random motherboard
Build a rig to run paint. Bet you cant
omgg people always have to shoot the dogs in fc3 i just hit them twice with the machete and there ya go you only lose a bit of health
shit and i thought my mx150 is a crappy card
still the best version and storyline , weapons more realistic
playing it again , but now everything on ultra , even postfx , 8xAA 1440p @ 100fps
looks amazing for a 7 year old game
i do have to save a lot cause after an hour of playing the game still crashes like it used too
At The Ultra-Low Setting, I Skipped A Heartbeat at That One.
$60 for all that? where did you buy these parts? the PSU alone corsair 650w cost like what? $30-40?
The funny thing is, my RTX 2060's frame rate drops to around 40 fps sometimes, while usually hovering around 60 fps with everything maxed out & all eye candy turned on @ 1080p, as expected… In a freaking 7 year old game, mind you. The CPU is a Ryzen 7 3700X, so there's most likely no bottleneck in that regard.
This could mean that in order to run FC3 on ultra completely smoothly in 2019 you might need at least an RTX 2070, or maybe a 2060 Super would do, not sure. Anyway, it does seem kinda crazy to me and it shows how graphically advanced the game was at the time. Similar to Crysis when it came out.
back in the day far cry 3 needed a big hard drive but in 2012 when this game released mny games requirements are more. 1 year later in 2013 gta v was recommending many more thn far cry 3 and far cry 3 can run in 2 gb minimum and gta v in 4 gb ram. and there was graphics card hard drive processor and many more. now after & years tecnology changed but it not take & year to change it change 2 year after and less time because game recommendation require more and & year later in 2019 many games and newer released title will recommend more and console's will hardly run newer titles and many game in future like control , gears 5 and cyberpunk 2077 need more requiremant and console can run hardly in one word expensive pc and console's.
am I the only person who still plays this game? I literally play it pretty much daily
Random Gaming I dare you to try making a Recommended gaming pc for Space engineer's using there specs and see how it handle that game and other games and compare it to this system at running the game
played on intel hd 3000 without problem and cpu is i5 2520m
but got stuck at one mission to difficult for me it was
Will i9-9900k and rtx 2080 run this game?
Me in 9 years old
Dual core with 4gb of ram
And have no graphic card
Try to crack Far cry 3
Another game that was unoptimized when it was ported over. There are so many of these games out there. System requirements don't mean much when it's only designed to run at 30fps
Gtx 480? Lol… My very old Gtx 580 on 3770k wasn't enough… For max that game I needed zotac 780 Amp.
The best far cry ever made
You shouldn't hardly ever go over 720p with 1GB of vram. The 1.5GB GTX 480 would have been a better choice
Why why why!!! Now i'll have to play it again!
3 Was my favorite as well, never played Primal. I didn't care for 4 but really liked 5 and New Dawn. Never completed 2, kept dying of malaria and thought the idea of guns breaking down quickly was fairly lame. 1 was a great game, ahead of its time.
you can buy cheap 3450 xeon's for the 1156 socket, i upgraded a friends gigabyte motherboard with it after updating the bios and with 4 more gigabytes of ram and a used rx480 he got for real cheap the machine is good for another couple of years.
If anyone still have a 1156 motherboard with a first gen i3 or even a i5, and want to upgrade to a new PC but don't have money to get a "real deal" (Ryzen 3600 like), go to AliExpress and get a 10US$ Xeon X3450 (or even a 15US$ X3470), make some tests and see if you liked the performance upgrade…
i had the i3 530 since the release in 2010, still using it today
And also icore 7 7gen with a 500 gb ssd drive
I have 16gb of ram
My gaming setup for FC3 was:
CPU: Intel Core 2 DUO E6750
GPU: Zotac Nvidia GTX 260 896MB 448bit DDR3
RAM: Kingston 8GB DDR3
I played it on the lowest graphics settings and had 25-30FPS.
Sometimes I even had up to 40FPS but only in caves or places with less geometry. 😀
Compared to your old APU setup, it was a dream.
And I thought it wouldn't get any worse.
Hahaha. Dude. I gonna build a PC in the next months, which is supposed to run Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings with RTX at 60FPS 1080p. Probably getting a i7 9700K, 2070 Super. Hope that will be enough. I have absolutely no idea.
My 9900k and 1080 ti still drops in the 80 and even 70s at times in Far Cry 3 no matter the resolution so its not very well optimized in some spots….
i remember at the time i used a 7970 GHZ ed and it was a buggy mess , so much slow downs , inconsistent fps , maybe it was a faulty card
I came from console to pc just for play far cry 3 🙂
yeah just prioving nvidia is a pile of shit… if farcry 3 looked like this with so low hardware then what they fuck you need three times better harddware to play farcry 4???? nonsence
One day the gtx 1080ti will be a 1080p card.
Still rocking an i3 530 in my second pc and it never fails to amaze me how well it holds up. Having pared it with a r7 250 it's the perfect pc for playing games like csgo, overwatch and it can even handle fine games like gta 5, doom 4.
Far cry 3 was the best far cry for its time in my opinion… still good now.
Hey, I’m pretty new to PC gaming and was wondering if anyone could help me, I have an intel i5-7400 and every time I try playing Far Cry 3 it makes my processor sound like it’s going to nuke my house and I looked online for solutions but haven’t found any and was wondering if someone could help me out
Please stop saying “oobisoft” it’s “you be soft”
5770s are actually super nice
Build pc for crysis 2007
Any ryzen apu would absolutely destroy this pc on both gpu and cpu lol. I honestly cant recommend buying old hardware anymore since new apus came out. Ryzen 3 2200g is so cheap and also is an a320m mobo that doesnt make any sense buying old stuff these days and have a bad performance and no upgrade path.
I played this at 60 FPS in my notebook laptop back then lmfao
can i play with
amd athlon 200ge
4gb ram
a320m
1tb hdd
