Hey everyone! Loving all the feedback so far! Please tell us what you liked (and what you didn't) about this episode. We want to make the best show for you. What products would you like us to review next? Thanks!
“White is very cool” oof trying to be controversial haha
Yesssss dell
is it me or does he sound like linus tech tips
omg… this HURTS just watching… all u do is netflix, amazon and facebook??? OMG WHAT IS THIS GUY TALKING ABOUT!!!
Just proves how unreliable some tech channels are
12:30 oh yeah no just a regular laptop not like it’s packing a gtx1660ti 4K display and a i7 1065G7, nope just a regular laptop that “has the same stuff” as the other ones
you guys know nothing about technology different people need different machines and the razer is a sort of gaming laptop as it does have a low power GPU but still better than integrated graphics and don't give tech advice to a community where they know more about tech than you if you have someone working in an office that specializes in tech review and calls RGB backlighting disco light you're better catering to grandmas than young professionals. Don't give tech advice if you don't know how people use their laptops a lot of people need their laptop for cad modeling o running simulations on-site or even needing LTE connection on their laptop instead of using the hotspot on their phone. Stop giving the tech community tech advice when you're not professionals and stick to telling boomers how to use tech.
Inconsistent methodology on the last test. Would the entry level Dell at 899 have the same test results as the Apple if used in the entire comparison? Seems like you blew your review on the last item. Still informative and thank you for the review.
U asked for peoples feedback and u say they are wrong! Aren't you jus wasting their time?! What's the point of asking peoples opinion then?!
The people are wrong because you got yourself a group of muggles, however you yourselves are a group of muggles since you obviously do not know how to make a laptop review 🙂
I enjoyed this! You know, Dan Ackerman has been with CNET for almost 14 years…which is almost 6 months, but not quite.
If the performance "doesn't really matter", then why did you choose a laptop made by a gaming-dedicated company?? Maybe we want to play light games on our laptops, and that blanket assumption was most likely incorrect.
The dell is ugly af
I think the Razer is better because it have a discrete graphics card, RGB keyboard which I absolutely love, big trackpad, and the very bright screen. I dont know if it supports Windows Hello…
not fair to razor, it isn't a normal everyday laptop, its an effing gaming laptop plus "disco laptop' SERIOUSLY.
Not a good comparison
Woke generation reviews….. CNET guy is a joke – 50% of reviews downgrade this video … 2,500 thumbs down – says it all. CNEt should hire from Russia or India where fanatics are just that – fanatics. Here, I have never seen such a superficial review. Time to put this CNET reviewer out to pasture…. lazy bum
The pro guy brought in from cnet is an idiot…14 years with cnet and his battery test was stream a movie….. sophisticated lot at CNET – or very simolistic. Measures battery with no consideration to screen resolution (mac is 1/2 that of the Dell) – did he use a Dell with a 2K screen and throttle back the Dell CPU that is running twice as fast and is twice as effective?
If you were going to use the cheaper one for the price then why not test the cheaper one instead of the expensive one its not fair.
Macbook air wins…
Apple is better than android
Dont use this as a buying guide it's not right
I bought a hp envy 360 and 800 dollars and I have so many many regrets, it broke right after my warranty wore off
So. This is a CNET review, is it? Is this what it has come to? This is possibly the worst, most useless, superficial review in a good, long time! Little more than a superficial beauty contest for laptops. They seem to have missed out one slightly important category, here – USEABILITY! Pathetic!

anyone else notice the epic games launcher, or was it just me
Not an Apple fan but hands down, in this comparison its the best. Why constantly downscore it and give dell higher points. Is the video sponsored by dell? Not impressed at all.
No real information given to the components, hard drive size, ram or processor type. I use my laptop for business, Sony Vaio E series purchased in 2012 and still going strong. Please give a review for business people who make their living with it, after all laptops are not just for high school students.
When comparing performance – use a $1799 dell. When comparing values – use a $899 dell. Nice job "Senior" editor.
This is a tech channel? Disco lights? Seriously, this is for people who don't know what Intel is.
Mac is for hipsters >:.[
MacBook Air is a piece of crap. My mother board stopped working after only 3 years.
But if you buy the dell for 899 then it loses to the MacBook in performance then the dell would lose points in that so the MacBook would come on top
You forgot thinkpads? That means this is a Dell sponsored video!
I don't have laptop
I'm so tired of people voting for Apple designs just because it's Apple. Think outside the box, sheeple
Boo
Here are some things which are missed. The storage space offered for the price you pay, number of usb and typec ports, the inbuilt speaker sound quality, quality of keyboard and trackpad, display resolution, video call quality, customer service.. HP spectre and the Microsoft surface book could have been included in the race..
Just bought dell 15 3000 inspiron 3581.
what type of device is he writing on? the big screen thing and the pen?
Can you do one for £500 price ?
Simple, Area 51M,not that portable tho
