Apple’s laptop lineup has been a mess for the past year, with the Macbook, Macbook Air, and 13 inch Macbook Pro all priced similarly and with similar capabilities. Recently, Apple not only dropped the plain Macbook, it also refreshed it’s 13″ Macbook Pro. Now sporting a superior processor, touch bar, and touch ID on the base model, the 13″ Pro should now be the default option for anyone looking for a smaller Apple laptop.

This is cool.
As I am typing this comment on the 13" pro while watching a review of the 13" pro
I am a Graphic Designer . My 2011 Macbook Pro was nearly indestructible, suffering only one hardware failure in 2018. I retired and recycled it. I then bought a 2019 Macbook Pro, Intel I-9 processor, 32GB RAM and over $4K. Within that year I had my business put entirely on hold, suffering three keyboard trackpad failures in the last four months. It is currently out for repair now for the third time under the Keyboard Service Program for MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro… (Yes, they're so bad they actually have a replacement program) with the end result being, after FOUR FAILURES WITHIN ONE YEAR they will replace it with a new MacBook Pro. So what's the big deal? One more repair and I'm home free, right? I would be getting a new one? Right? Wrong… The issue with that is the ones currently on the shelves right now (and I would be due) have the EXACT SAME COMPONENTS… A Butterfly Keyboard (Google that, you won't like what you see.) trackpad, speakers and battery (and as they are now) all GLUED to the replacement "top case" forming a single part that has an out of warranty price tag of $1000. (That is the quote I got from an Apple Certified Reseller/Repair shop, in person last Saturday.) They simply cannot just replace individual components they must replace the entire "topcase" When any one component fails. (They can't even replace just the battery.) So again whats' the big deal? Okay maybe for someone who lives within walking distance of an authorized repair center there's nothing… wrong with that.. and you are okay spending more than a thousand dollars per year on your computer…. I don't and I am not okay that sort of expense. If you're like me, be prepared to experience what I have so far… In the past four months I've had "23 telephone calls, totaling better than 6 hours", needlessly driven 120 miles total to ship it off three times for repair, a string of emails as long as my arm… 100 "I'm Sorry's" (More if you count the ones in writing) and I am still not done with the third repair. It happened to me, it could happen to you…. There is nothing Pro about a MacBook Pro. Buyer Beware.
"12" wasn't a good buy?"…enjoy my MacBook!
u look like if chuckie from rugrats grew up and went and got an it degree, nah jk, this was lit
I recently purchased a 16" MacBook Pro with Catalina. I have used Mac's since 1981 starting with the K57. My old MacBook Pro is a 15" late 2011 with El Capitan. This new 16" MacBook Pro is the poorest quality Mac I have ever had. It has no USB port. This computer doesn't contain any Apple Internal Memory Card Readers. It cannot read a memory card. I had to buy an external attachment with USB ports but it still doesn't read memory cards. I travel a lot and cannot have an attachment sticking out of the side of my laptop. I haven't been able to transfer photos and documents from my old Mac to my new one. This was very expensive laptop, but I am considering selling it and buying one that has USB and reads memory cards. What has happened to Apple?
Is the new 2020 Macbook pro worth $300 more ?
Why call it pro without a dedicated video card? Only Apple can call something a PRO without said pro features.
I am going to buy 128 GB version, is this storage is enough for normal work ?? Can any one suggestion me ?
Because a huge vat and tex for apple product at Bangladesh.
mine comes in a week i’m freaking out
Currently I have the MacBook Air 11'' from mid-2012. Honestly, the quality of the laptop is amazing. I have been using it for 8 years already and the only disadvantages are my battery that needs to be replaced and that my storage is super full, even when factory resetting my laptop: it can not store much more. However, it still works perfectly fine as if it was new, if the battery was fixed it would definitely work as (apart from the storage) a new MacBook. Now I would like to switch to a MacBook Pro 13'' 2019, I want to use Adobe Photoshop and I would like to edit my travel videos, but my concern here is that I am not sure how good the storage is. Will I experience the same problem, do you suggest another laptop or do you think this MacBook Pro will definitely work out for me?
Well done, thank you. Looking for a computer for my daughter entering college.
What music studio program can be use on MacBook 13
Great video! Thank you 😀
great video man
I am a Windows user and a music producer looking for a suitable Macbook. They say using a Macbook Pro would be more suitable for someone like me. Is it true that using a Macbook Pro would be more suitable for music production than a Macbook Air or are they both the same??
Wtf is $17.99?
Would u buy the 256gb MacBook Air or 125gb MacBook Pro?
Late 2019 MacBook Pro 16 for the win.
I just picked up a brand new sealed 2019 13” pro 256gb for a little less than a 2019 256gb air
I just got the air and I love it
Sorry Apple fans, but two USB 2.0 ports, an ethernet port, 1 Tb (minimum) of storage, an HDMI port (input and output), and a 15" screen is the baseline for any laptop for me. Period. Limited storage, the soul use of USB-C, and expensive and unreliable third party adapters/hard drives (that Apple does not make) are definitely not enough. You Apple fans are being robbed. Get a Chromebook or something instead if this satisfies you.
i paid more than 2k dollars for my 2017 macbook pro for the touch bar but then even the cheapest 1299 looks the same as mine. to say the least, the clout is gone… am crying
He looks pretty angry somehow.
2019 cant upgraded SSD ?…I keep 2017 better .
could I edit YouTube videos on this?
just go to the education store…
save a cuple-a-buks
This guy has a punchable face.
Is that just me?
Hi, great vid. Very clear, not a lot of small talk. Thanks. Question I have, is Apple coming out with another MacBookPro for 2020?
So which laptop would be best to get? MacBook Pro or MacBook Air ?
xps 13 2 in 1 here i come
The 12 inch (Discontinued) MacBook that I got, I must’ve gotten lucky because the shallow, butterfly keyboard never gave me problems. Everything performed well except for fortnite (2017) which I tried to play a week or two of it being out. I played a game it lagged like crazy. I was interested in gaming at the time and sold it. I got a gaming pc and still have it but I’m going to sell it since I don’t play any insane cpu based or gpu based games anymore. I’m going to get a bigger MacBook that has good specs since I want to learn how to edit but still have Minecraft and fortnite and maybe rocket league where it at least has 60 FPS.
Sell me this laptop why should i choose for apple ? 🙂
As far as specs, my windows laptop blows this MacBook out of the water. But I just love how sleek and James Bondish these MacBooks look.
cant you just use external ssd drives Instead of taking the 200$ upgrade ? I already have a bunch of them so just connect a USB Hub and you ready to go arent you ? never used OSX before
Where’s the cheese??
My 2018 15’ pro is thinner than this (i got this for my brother today)
I can't wait for that 16inch to be released so I can get the Mac pro 2019 in 2020
How does it run with softwares installed like dragon frame and after effects or minecraft java edition
The 8th gen Intel chips are actually still pretty great, but Apple laptops are so expensive it seems lame that they'd be using 2 year old chips.
They're moving fewer and fewer iPhones every year and they're making up the difference with a $999 monitor stand, $1200 cell phones, and downgrading to 2 year old processors.
i bought a mac today… is it bad that i bought a 2018 with only 8 gbs of ram?
